Conflict Diamonds is an industry term that refers to diamonds that originate from ‘Conflict Zones’ , such as Sierra Leone or Liberia. These countries are or have previously been, controlled by armed militias or rebel forces, in opposition to the governments in those countries, using child labor to mine the diamonds and then using the proceeds from the sales to fund their ongoing military action.

Alexa Rose conforms to all United Nations resolutions in respects of trading in conflict diamonds. This means we only purchase diamonds from respected and reputable sources, who in turn do not partake in any illegal diamond activity. All our diamonds are therefore legal and traceable.
