But this is only one facet of the story. Our jewelry is carefully produced, using only precious metals – 18-Karat gold or Platinum, and set with hand-selected diamonds and precious stones. Only diamonds known as “white” or “commercial white” in appearance (G/H color and VS/SI clarity) are used. In keeping with United Nations resolutions, we guarantee that all diamonds used are from geographical areas that are conflict-free and are in accordance with the Kimberley resolution. Owners Elan and Tracy Efune, emigrated to Arizona from their native South Africa in 2003. After a few years of work in the wholesale sector of the industry, Elan created the Alexa Rose brand, having identified the need for beautiful diamonds and jewelry, at affordable prices. Elan's experience in the wholesale sector, where he supplied retail stores across North America, left him very well positioned to deliver the 'wholesale to the public' concept.
Elan's grandfather emigrated from Lithuania to South Africa in the early 1900's and he was a diamond merchant and jewelry manufacturer together with his brothers. Elan's father took the family business onto new heights and became the largest distributor of gold jewelry in the country. Elan's mother today runs 2 extremely successful fine jewelry stores in South Africa. Tracy's father was one of the most successful and respected steel traders in South Africa. Alexa Rose is the first and middle name of Elan and Tracy's daughter, and so Alexa Rose Diamond was created.
Alexa Rose opened its first American location, in 2005, to complement its locations in South Africa and Australia. You're encouraged to make an appointment: Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; weekend and after hours appointments are also available.
